Newcastle Diamonds endured one of their biggest defeats of the season with a 68-22 loss to Isle of Wight on Tuesday.

Following a long trip south, Newcastle were overrun by a rampant Islanders, with 10 5-1 heat finishes sealing a convincing win for the hosts.

Diamonds' rider Jason King notched 10 points as Isle of Wight rider Paul Fry top scored with 14.

The defeat was Diamonds' fourth loss of the season and leaves them 11th in the Premier League table after six meets.
