South coast businessman Nick Andrews is promising some familiar faces when he names an Oxford Cheetahs team to stage a number of challenge meetings.

Andrews will disclose details at a fans' forum at the Green Road Club in Kidlington on 22 July at 1930 BST.

And he told BBC Oxford: "I will announce the full squad on Tuesday. The majority of the riders have pulled on a Oxford race jacket.

"And I have two or three back-up riders from Premier League clubs."

Andrews is urging as many Cheetahs fans as possible to attend the fans forum and the club's comeback meeting.

He added: "When I make the announcement of the first meeting that's they key one. I want Oxford fans to turn out like they have never turned out before."
