Lindgren accepts his own form is inconsistent. |
Wolves promoter Chris van Straaten says his search for new faces is being hindered by overseas commitments. The Monmore men face the threat of the first Elite League relegation play-offs after a poor first half to the season. "We're not giving up and hope something can happen after the World Cup next week," van Straaten said. After losing two meetings to the weather this week, Wolves suffered a third when Friday night's trip to Lakeside was also rained off. That was their last scheduled meeting before the World Cup break. Van Straaten and manager Peter Adams have spoken to some riders but fixture clashes have prevented any signings. And Christian Hefenbrock is still suffering from the hand injury he picked up last week. Wolves skipper Freddie Lindgren is conscious that the team has been very short of form and has issued something of a rallying call. "It's been a nightmare season for us and we need to start getting some results to give us all a lift," said Lindgren. "I haven't been as consistent as I wanted to be so I take my share of the blame."
