Douglas' side have won all six of their home league meetings |
Lakeside Hammers boss Stuart Douglas has warned against complacency ahead of their home meeting with Wolverhampton. The Hammers, currently third in the Elite League with an unbeaten home record, take on second-from-bottom Wolves at Purfleet on Friday. Wolves will be itching to go after two postponements, including their trip to Peterborough on Thursday night. But Douglas cautioned: "They have an extremely capable team who can all ride the Arena-Essex raceway very well."
He added: "It will be vital that we remain on our toes on Friday. We have that home record to protect." The sides were meant to face each other at Monmore Green on Monday but the meeting was called off due to a waterlogged track, the same fate that befell Wolves' scheduled trip to Peterborough.
