Adam Shields swept to his first maximum score for the Hammers |
Lakeside Hammers brushed aside an injury-hit Coventry Bees 63-29 to move into third place in the Elite League. The visitors were already without Chris Harris (injured at the British GP), then lost Billy Janniro for the night in a first-race accident. Adam Shields capitalised and rode to his first maximum for the club, while Andreas Jonsson took a paid maximum as the Hammers won 12 of the 15 heats. Strong performances by the rest of the side resulted in nine 5-1 heat wins.
