Lindgren's mechanical failure in heat 10 proved decisive |
Niels Kristian Iversen's 15-point maximum was not enough to prevent Wolves suffering a 49-41 home defeat by Lakeside Hammers in the Elite League. Iversen's first perfect night since his winter move from Peterborough saw his side leading through nine heats. But a mechanical failure for skipper Freddie Lindgren in heat 10 gifted the visitors a 5-1 for their first lead. Lakeside had the heat winners in the next four races to secure the victory, despite Iversen's win in the last heat. Behind Iversen's 15 points, Lindgren, Ales Dryml and David Howe added seven apiece for Wolves who need to regroup ahead of Thursday's trip to Swindon. Adam Shields and Ricky Kling were the leading scorers for the Hammers with 10 apiece, Joonas Kylmakorpi and Andreas Jonsson each notching eight.
