The expected return of four of their leading riders will be a huge boost for Coventry Bees at Belle Vue tonight. Rory Schlein and Simon Stead are back after competing in a world championship qualifying semi-final at the weekend. Bees captain Chris Harris and Olly Allen are set to race again after recovering from injury. Their timely inclusion will help try to end a run of four defeats inside a week. But Coventry are still without their American rider Billy Janniro. Since beating Belle Vue 56-37 at Brandon back on 20 June, weakened Coventry have stalled in a bid to cram in extra fixtures caused by their many early season postponements. After losing 63-29 at Lakeside last Monday night, they then went down 54-36 at Poole on Wednesday night, before losing the return at Brandon 56-37 on Friday night. And they were then on the road again on Saturday night, losing 50-40 at Eastbourne.
