Andersen has lost the last six matches for Panthers
Peterborough Panthers captain Hans Andersen has said he is aiming for a place in the final of the British Grand Prix in Cardiff.
The Dane, 27, was a finalist in 2005 at the Millennium Stadium and came close to success last year.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Last season I won the main even after 20 heats but just picked the wrong gate for my semi-final. I lost my head."
Andersen got eight points in Panthers' 54-38 defeat at Ipswich on Thursday.
It was the team's sixth successive defeat and leaves them seventh in the Elite League.
Andersen admitted he was having some trouble with his engines, and said: "We had a few engines we wanted to try and one blew to bits and the other one just over-spun.
"Unfortunately we lost today but it's a tricky track, especially with the rain."
There are still seven Grand Prix left this year and Andersen, who is sixth in the championship table, insisted he could still make a top-three finish.
"It's a long season and we felt good in the last Grand Prix where we were back to where we should be, in the final."
