Mads Korneliussen misses out despite his better form |
Swindon boss Alun Rossiter says he is frustrated and baffled as to why Mads Korneliussen has been overlooked for a place in the Danish Grand Prix. Peterborough rider Kenneth Bjerre has been chosen in front of the Robins man, even though Bjerre has a broken leg. Korneliussen has the higher Elite League average and Rossiter says the decision sends out the wrong message. "Mads is distraught and who can blame the poor lad? This decision is a real kick in the teeth." Titanium rods Rossiter added: "It frustrates and baffles me that the authorities have yet again denied him an opportunity to show his worth on the Grand Prix circuit. "Mads has shown signs of improvement year upon year on both the domestic and international stage. "What more does he have to do in order to be recognised by the powers that be?" Bjerre broke his leg in an accident last week, but is hoping to be fit to race at the Parken Stadium on 14 June having had an operation to insert titanium rods into his thigh.
