Miskoviak impressed with a 14+1 haul at Foxhall |
Ipswich Witches moved to the top of the Elite League after a 52-41 victory over Belle Vue on Thursday, their seventh consecutive win. Piotr Swiderski top scored with 17+1, while Robert Miskowiak weighed in with 14+1 at Foxhall. Polish rider Jarek Hampel was missing from the Witches line-up, following a family bereavement. Witches rider Chris Schramm told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We have all clicked and the team spirit is great." The Witches now have to wait for two weeks before their next meeting on 9 June against Poole. Schramm said: "We've got that break which will mean a lot less travelling for some of the boys and they can recharge their batteries. "I think a lot of teams will be worried about us now. We've done the hardest part in getting to the top, now we have to stay there."
