Piotr Swiderski top scored for Ipswich at Wolverhampton |
The Ipswich Witches have moved up to fourth place in the Elite League table after a 48-43 win at Wolverhampton. A second successive away victory came despite Steve Johnston being forced to withdraw following a crash. Piotr Swiderski top scored with 12 points plus a bonus from six rides while Jarek Hampel got 10. "We would have been happy with one win out of this week's three away matches but to get two is immense," Witches team manager Pete Simmons said. Ipswich are away again on Wednesday when they face the Poole Pirates, who are currently second in the table and only one point ahead. The Witches are due to operate the rider replacement system as skipper Chris Louis is injured.
