Korneliussen felt the team let the Robins' fans down (BBC)
Swindon Robins slumped to their first home league defeat in almost two years with a 39-51 reverse against Poole at the Abbey Stadium on Thursday.
The Pirates took the lead in heat three, and remained in front for the rest of the meeting.
Leigh Adams was Swindon's top man with paid 11 points, while Danish rider Mads Korneliussen chipped in with 10.
"I can't remember the nice time we lost at home, so it's not a funny feeling," Korneliussen told BBC Radio Swindon.
The Robins slip to third place in the Elite League, one point behind the Ipswich Witches at the top of the table.
Poole are up to second level on points with Swindon but with a superior points difference.
"We want to win at home and it's not good for the fans. They pay good money to come and watch us every week so it was a disappointment," added Korneliussen.
"We were not making starts at all which didn't make it easy, so it was just down to Poole making better starts."
Travis McGowan and Theo Pijper again struggled for form for the Robins, scoring just one point each.
