Peterborough Panthers rider Sam Simota is in hospital in Hungary after a crash while racing for Polish side Lodz.

A Panthers club statement read: "Full details of his injuries are not known but it has been reported that he has a broken cervical."

Panthers team boss Trevor Swales confirmed Simota would miss their trip to Ipswich on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Czech rider has struggled to find his form this season for the Panthers in the Elite League.
