Adam Shields top scored for the Hammers with 12 points |
Lakeside Hammers recorded their first Elite League victory of the season with a 50-45 win over Swindon Robins. The home side raced into an immediate lead at the Arena Raceway to lead the Robins by 14 points after six races. Tactical rides and good riding by the visitors' Leigh Adams (17 points) closed the deficit, but the Hammers never looked like being overhauled. Adam Shields top scored for the Hammers on 12 points, backed by Jonas Davidsson (10) and guest rider Davey Watt (8).
