Rossiter is in charge of the Bees for a second season |
Coventry Bees co-promoter Alun Rossiter was not too down-hearted following a heavy defeat in their first outing. Bees lost 62-30 in the first leg of a challenge meeting against Peterborough Panthers as both clubs wait to be reinstated to the Elite League. "Nobody likes to lose by quite a big margin but I'm not worried," Rossiter told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "We've got a few teething problems that we've got to sort out and there are signs that we will come through it." He added: "I know Peterborough haven't ridden, but we just seem to be a little bit slower than them. I think if we give it time it'll be alright. "There is a lot of difference this year with the silencers and we've got to adjust fairly quickly. "The league will come round very quick and we've got be ready for it." The return leg of the challenge meeting, dubbed the Hokey Cokey Cup, is at Brandon on Saturday. The two teams are also set to race each other home and away on Good Friday (22 April) in what could prove to be league fixtures.
