Davies (number 57) returns to Europe after a two years in the United States
Herefordshire's Chaz Davies will ride in the final three rounds of the World Supersport series starting this weekend at Imola, in Italy.
Davies is hoping to impress in Europe with the ParkinGO Triumph BE1 team after two years in the United States.
He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "In the World Superbike paddock they are all waiting for people to sign contracts so there are spots open.
"If I do well in these last three races then it could lead to more next year."
The 22-year-old has been offered an initial three-race deal with his new team and will compete for them at Imola, Magny Cours in France and Portimao in Protugal.
He will replace Italian Gianluca Nannelli who has left the team and will ride alongside Australian Garry McCoy.
I would say its outright speed is probably going to be higher than AMA but I have just go to see when I get there

Davies says the first race at Imola will be a step into the unknown as he has not had the opportunity to test on the bike.
"I actually went to Italy the other day with a view to riding at Mugello but when I got there it was wet all day," he said.
"I sat on the bike and got my position and bars sorted out, as well as my footrests and gear lever positions.
"But you can't really do a lot without riding it in anger on a dry track," he added.
Davies has recently returned from the United States after a second season racing in the AMA series and has certainly not ruled out a return to America next year.
But he has been doing his research into the Triumph bike by talking to friends and colleagues within the sport and he says the initial feedback has been encouraging.
"I would say its outright speed is probably going to be higher than AMA but I have just go to see when I get there," he said.
"It depends on a lot of things as I have got a few things to learn and few things to click with.
"We have just got to wait and see and then see how we get on."
