Walker spent the second half of the 2007/08 season on loan at Charlton
Hereford United have signed 22-year-old Southend United striker James Walker on one-month loan deal.
Walker becomes the fourth loan player to arrive at Edgar Street inside a week as Bulls manager John Trewick tries to add impetus to his side's season.
The striker has scored eight goals in 43 appearances but has recently found first-team chances hard to come by.
He is likely to go straight into the Bulls squad for the League Two trip to Rochdale on Saturday, 26 September.
Hereford, who are in 20th in League Two, last week signed Peterborough defender Danny Blanchett, Swindon winger Mark Marshall and Leicester City's Craig King.
