Redding's only podium finish came at Donington in 2008

Gloucestershire's Scott Redding says the two free practice sessions will be important ahead of Sunday's 125cc MotoGP at Donington.

He told BBC Gloucestershire: "I've not done any testing in the season, only at the start with all the other teams.

"A couple of the teams do testing but a lot of them don't. It depends if they have something to try out or not.

"This year there'll be a lot of people expecting me to repeat what I did last year. I wish it was as easy as that."

Redding was handed victory in the 2008 race after a mistake by Andrea Iannone on the final lap in front of nearly 90,000 fans.

"This year the results have been different. Some of the tracks I did badly at last year I've done better at this time," added Redding, who turns 17 in January.

"I think with everyone there knowing what happened I've got to try and take that out of my mind and not put a lot of pressure on myself. That's going to be the main problem this year."
