Smith celebrates after his win at the Spanish GP in Jerez |
Oxfordshire 125cc rider Bradley Smith has said his victory at the Spanish MotoGP on 3 May has made him even more hungry for success. The Grand Prix win in Jerez was the first for the 18-year-old and he told BBC Oxford that he will be aiming for a repeat performance at Le Mans. "Now you've got that feeling and stood on that podium, you don't want to settle for anything less," said Smith. "It's going to have to be 100% focused from the word go." The teenager trails championship leader Andrea Iannone by a single point ahead of this weekend's race after the Italian failed to finish in Spain. "I've always said you can analyse the championship after the first three races and I am right in there," added Smith.
