The Isle of Man TT is set to be recognised in a prestigious book of the world's 'Cult Locations'.

It will feature alongside over 150 iconic locations and events, including the Hollywood sign, the Moulin Rouge, the Taj Mahal and Buckingham Palace.

Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle said: "We're delighted that the Isle of Man TT has been chosen for such a special book.

"It's a tribute to the event's iconic status and enduring appeal."

Cult Locations is produced by Belgian publishers Tectum Publishing and is 400 pages.

The section on the TT will be illustrated with images captured by Isle of Man-based photographer Dave Collister, plus pictures from the TT archive run by Manx-based Bill Snelling.
