Michael Rutter was a winner at last year's North West 200 |
Coleraine and District Motor Club officials have confirmed that next year's North West 200 road race will be staged on Saturday 16 May. Clerk-of-the-course Mervyn Whyte said the club would now "go to town" in promoting the seaside spectacular. "Planning is already underway for next year's 80th anniversary event and I'm delighted that our provisional date has been rubber-stamped," said Whyte. "This is a perfect date which will suit all UK and Ireland competitors." "Teams will have ample time to prepare for the North West, with British Superbikes taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 4 May, and post-North West 200 is the Donington Park race not happening until Monday 25 May."
