BBC's Stephen Watson reports on the redesign of the North West 200's infamous Mather's Cross which is one of most frightning corners in motor-cycle racing.
Michael Rutter was a winner at last year's North West 200
North West 200 organisers are planning to make changes to the Mather's Cross section of the Triangle circuit.
It is envisaged that the proposed changes will make the corner safer although it is likely to increase the speed of machines through the section.
"The work will be carried out by the Roads Service and involves the corner being straightened," explained North West clerk-of-the-course Mervyn Whyte.
"It is quite a fast bend and the aim of the work is to make it safer."
Robert Dunlop was killed on the approach to the Mather's Cross bend following a crash in practice for this year's event.
