David Knight will return to the World Enduro Championship next year with a new team, BMW Motorrad.

Knight said: "To succeed you have to truly believe in yourself, your machinery and your team.

"It's an exciting time for everyone involved with the team and I have absolute faith in BMW."

The double WEC and Grand National Cross Country Series winner will be joined by Finnish enduro legend Juha Salminen, also a multiple WEC champion.

Salminen's countryman Marko Tarkkala completes the team's stellar line-up of new riders.

WEC 2009 gets under way in Penafiel, Portugal on the weekend of 21 March.
