Ramsey continue their good form

Football

Ramsey beat Corinthians 1-0 at Noble's Park on Saturday to leave the Douglas side propping up the Sure Mobile Premier League table.

Substitute Ryan Fairclough scored from 20 yards to move the northerners into fifth, just a point behind Rushen.

It was the weekend's only top-flight game to survive the weather.

In the one fixture to survive the weather in CFS Division Two, Marown continued their push for promotion with a 10-2 win over strugglers Ronaldsway.

A Jeremy Lovett hat-trick and goals from Ricky Lovett, Paul Dunn, James Sharp, Kenny McGuire and even goalkeeper Stuart Naisbitt gave Marown their fourth consecutive win.

Tony Rodgers and Paul Skelly grabbed the Rockets' consolation goals.

The win has moved Marown to within one point of leaders Castletown and St Johns and leaves Ronaldsway at the foot of the table, with a goal difference of minus 73 after 12 games.
