British Superbikes championship leader Shane 'Shakey' Byrne has praised Airwaves Ducati team-mate Leon Camier's role in helping him to the top. Byrne told BBC Radio Kent: "He's starting to chip away now and that's great for me. "The closer he can be to me, the more points he takes away from the second placed rider Cal Crutchlow". Camier, from Ashford, is in his second season in Superbikes riding for the Kent-based Airwaves Ducati team. Byrne currently leads the championship by 68 points after just four rounds. Camier is in third place on 107 points, 83 behind his team-mate.
