Leon Haslam will be at Snetterton to test his new Honda

The Norfolk circuit has been selected to hold the official test session for the 2008 series on 22, 23 and 24 March.

Last year's runner-up Leon Haslam is favourite to take the title riding the 2007 winning HM Plant Honda.

The 24-year-old will be joined by new team-mate Cal Crutchlow, who will also want to impress on the new Fireblade.

Shane 'Shakey' Byrne returns to the championship with Ducati. The 2003 champion is teamed up with Leon Camier on the new 1098R machine.

Double BSB champion Ryuichi Kiyonari has departed for World Superbikes, but a new Japanese star has arrived.

Rizla Suzuki has signed double Japanese Superbike champion Atsushi Watanabe. This will be his first time at Snetterton, having moved over to the UK for the season.

The three-day Snetterton test session will be the only chance to check out the new machinery and new rider line-ups ahead of the Brands Hatch season opener on 6 April.

The 12-race series will return to Snetterton for round five on 15 June.
