HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow both took top three finishes in round four of the British Superbike Championship at Donington Park.

Haslam claimed a brace of second places for the Louth team at his home circuit, while Crutchlow was third in race two, having been sixth in the opener.

"The team did an excellent job," said Haslam, "It's a shame we didn't get the win that I want so bad."

Ducati's Shane Byrne won both races and now leads the standings by 68 points.

In the British Supersport Championship, Ruskington's Rob Frost claimed his best finish of the season in ninth on the Buff Racing Triumph before being elevated to seventh following the exclusion of the Ten Kate Hondas.

Ben Wilson has moved to joint third in the Henderson R1 Cup standings after two second places in the double-header at Donington.

"I am pretty pleased with the result," said the Boston racer, "Especially for my sponsors, as without their help I wouldn't even be on the grid."

He also finished seventh in a rain-shortened British Superstock Championship race, one place ahead of Peter Hickman from Alford, with Lincoln's Lee Jackson coming home in 10th.

Wilson admitted: "The rain didn't actually come to anything but it was windy out there so I think we were all pleased to see the red flag."
