Louth-based HM Plant Honda's Cal Crutchlow has been passed fit to race in round four of the British Superbike Championships at Brands Hatch. Crutchlow dislocated his ankle in the last round at Oulton Park, but will take up second place on the grid, one place ahead of team-mate Leon Haslam. Championship leader Shane Byrne will start from pole position on a Ducati. The round was postponed in April because of snow, but the original qualifying positions still stand. Haslam qualified in fourth, but moves up a place as Yamaha's Karl Harris is sidelined through injury. Also missing from Brands Hatch will be Kirkby-on-Bain's Steve Plater, who will instead be racing in the world endurance championships in Albacete, Spain. In Superstock, Lincoln's Lee Jackson starts from fifth position but fellow Lincolnshire riders Ben Wilson and Peter Hickman must start from the back of the grid, having not taken part in the qualifying session.
