 Jonathan Rea was fourth in British Superbikes last year |
Jonathan Rea topped the unofficial test times for the British Superbike series at Almeria in Spain this week. The Ballyclare lad recorded the fastest times in both sessions, ahead of Leon Haslam and Rea's HM Plant Honda team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari.
Gregorio Lavilla was fourth fastest and Shane Byrne fifth.
The 20-year-old has recovered from a serious knee injury sustained at Mallory Park in October and will race in the first round on Monday 9 April.
