 Jonathan Rea broke the lap record at Bishopscourt on Saturday |
Jonathan Rea was in record breaking form on Saturday as he claimed a treble at Bishopscourt which included victory in the feature Sunflower Trophy race. Michael Laverty was going for a fifth straight Sunflower Trophy win but he had to settle for second behind Rea, with Tom Sykes in third.
Rea also won both Superbike races and set a new lap record of 98.52mph in claiming victory in the second race.
Sykes took a 600 double with Nikki Coates and Mark Lunney the 125 winners.
In the 400s Edward Haddock won the opener with Lee Hill securing victory in the second.
The top three placings in the Sunflower Trophy were repeated in both Superbike races.
