Laverty creates Sunflower record

Michael Laverty was a record breaker at Bishopscourt
Michael Laverty won the Sunflower Trophy for a record fourth time in a row at Bishopscourt on Saturday.

Riding a Stobart Honda, the Toomebridge man came home ahead of TAS Suzuki teamster Tom Sykes and Gary Mason.

Laverty won the two other Superbike races, with Sykes and Mason each taking a second and a third place finish.

Sykes grabbed a brace of wins in the 600cc class, with Ian Lowry second on each occasion. William Dunlop and Matthew Percy took 125cc victories.

Alan Pagan and Lee Wilson won the 400cc races with Andy Laidlow unbeaten in the two sidecar events.
