Honda rider John McGuinness set the pace on Saturday night |
John McGuinness set the pace in Saturday night's first practice session for the Isle of Man TT races. The HM Plant Honda rider posted a speed of 122.01mph in the Superbike class in which Ian Hutchinson was second, Guy Martin third and Ian Lougher fourth.
Hutchinson was the fastest man in the Supersports at 120.16 with Adrian Archibald second and his TAS Suzuki team-mate Bruce Anstey third.
Anstey topped the Superstocks at 120.54 followed by Yamaha rider Guy Martin.
Archibald told the BBC that he was still getting familiar with the bikes as he hadn't ridden them before going to the Isle of Man.
"I was riding for another team at the North West 200 but the TAS Suzukis were going well there and they should go well here.
"The strong winds on the mountain caused us a few problems on Saturday night but I got some good laps in on the Supersport and Superstock bikes.
"I always enjoy racing here and I've had some good wins in recent times but I had a bit of bad luck last year.
"Hopefully I can get back to winning ways next week," said Archibald.
