Adrian Archibald will be back in TAS Suzuki colours |
Adrian Archibald has rejoined the TAS Suzuki team for the Isle of Man TT Races, practice for which begins on Saturday 27 May. The Ballymoney rider parted company with the outfit last autumn saying he "needed a bit of a change".
The deal with TAS covers only the TT at this stage but Archibald may stay with the team until the end of the season.
He could form a three-man team with Bruce Anstey and Ryan Farquhar for the Ulster Grand Prix in August.
After a shortlived spell with the AIM Yamaha team last year, three-times TT winner Archibald signed for Team Racing, for whom he rode at the North West 200 last week.
The 36-year-old had a series of disappointing results at that meeting.
TAS boss Philip Neill told the BBC that his team "had a duty to field the strongest possible line-up" for the Island races.
"Adrian would be top of anyone's shopping list and we know he has been looking at possible options since the North West.
"We have a vacancy because of the unfortunate injury to Ryan Farquhar and have been in discussions with several very capable riders.
"In Adrian and Bruce, I feel we have a strong team for the TT."
