Adrian Coates is in contention for the British Superstock title
Adrian Coates maintained his challenge in the British Superstock Championship by claiming a battling third place in Sunday's round at Oulton Park.

The Antrim man raced despite suffering a hand injury caused by a crash in qualifying on Saturday.

Coates is now seven points off the lead in the series with two rounds left.

Michael Laverty did take part in Superbike qualifying but opted not to race as he is still suffering following his recent crash at Silverstone.

Marshall Neill and Ryan Rainey both failed to complete the Supersport race where Stephen Thompson claimed 10th and Denvir Robb was 13th.
