Coates cuts gap with second place

Adrian Coates is in contention for the British Superstock title
Adrian Coates is closing in on British Superstock championship leader Paul Young after coming second in Monday's race at Caldwell Park.

The Antrim rider is now just six points behind Young, who finished 13th. John Laverty came in seventh, Marshall Neill was 10th but Ryan Rainey retired.

Larne's Jonathan Rea crashed out of both Superbike races.

Eugene Laverty was sixth in the Supersport class with Marty Nutt fifth and sixth in the Superbike Cup races.

Toomebridge man Eugene Laverty has moved up to ninth in the Supersport standings.

Rea escaped injury in his crashes at the English circuit, which was hosting round 10 of the series.
