Pedro de la Rosa has rejoined McLaren as their official test and reserve driver. The Spaniard, a veteran of 84 grands prix, originally joined the team in 2003 and helped develop the car that Lewis Hamilton raced to the drivers' title in 2008. Full story: Planetf1.com Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix, has announced a profit of more than £2m for 2010. "I think we are probably the only privately-funded grand prix circuit that does make a profit in the world," said managing director Richard Phillips. A new pit and paddock complex, 'The Silverstone Wing', is due to be opened on 17 May, while Phillips said the venue's next stage of development will be to secure outside investment for new hotels and grandstands.
