Ford did not want the 2011 Ferrari getting mixed up with their truck

Ford have "amicably" settled their lawsuit with Ferrari. The American company had sued Ferrari for improper use of the F150 name but the Italian team quickly said it would revert to the car's full name the F150th Italia.

Hispania are prepared to wait until the eve of the Australian Grand Prix to name their second driver. Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi tested for the team in Barcelona but only Indian Narain Karthikeyan has been signed up.

Renault team boss Eric Boullier says it is still too early to decide whether injured Robert Kubica will be able to return to the cockpit. Boullier said: "It's still very early. The hand and the elbow are the tricky ones that he injured in the accident. We still need to wait a couple of weeks to start to have a clear understanding of what the recovery will be."

McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh has reacted to criticism of the high degradation of the new Pirelli tyres saying: "We want cars that at various stages of the race are fighting with their tyres, that's part of the show."

There has been more word on the health of Sir Jackie Stewart after the three-time F1 champion was taken ill on a plane. F1 reporter James Allen says: "Just heard from Jackie Stewart that his problem was a muscular one, nothing to do with heart. He's on the mend."

Ferrari driver Felipe Massa used production-based race car the F430 Challenge to try out a new track near Riyadh in Saudi Arabia while team boss Stefano Domenicali watched from the sidelines.

In response to F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone's idea to introduce artificial rain to spice up racing, there have been suggestions that snakes, pot-holes and a fleet of Morris Minors could also liven up grands prix.
