Our series of photographs aimed at conveying Formula 1 in its full glory continues with a jubilant shot taken at the German Grand Prix. The photographs are taken by Darren Heath, who over the last 20 years has carved a reputation as one of the best photographers working within the sport. This is Darren's story behind his latest image: "Formula 1 regulars are a circumspect and cynical bunch, forever trying to look cool and disinterested. But Sunday afternoon's result at the Nurburgring saw a wholly positive and refreshing effervescence wash over the paddock. "Team celebration pictures 2009 style are starting to become a little predictable with only two teams ever likely to participate. "Photographers gather, team arrives, drivers walk in, arms aloft and a sprinkling of champagne is the norm. F1's favourite Aussie had other ideas. "Bottle in hand and cork popped, Mark made straight for his F1 snapper mates unleashing a sweet tasting torrent of France's finest bubbles. "The camera-wielding throng scattered but I stood my ground squeezing the shutter release all the while. "Unable to see a thing - champagne in the eyes really stings - I hoped for the best. "Good on ya' cobber!" Camera: Canon EOS1DS Mark 3. Lens: 35mm. Exposure: 200th second @ f5.6
