Force India remain confident of their future in Formula One |
Force India say they will not be as affected by some of the major changes planned for Formula One as some of the bigger teams. F1 bosses have agreed that engines should be cheaper and longer-lasting by 2010, with budgets cut by 50%. But a Force India spokesman says the Silverstone-based team are optimistic. "It's aimed at the bigger teams saving money. They will all have to come back towards what we do," Phillips told BBC Radio Northampton.
He added: "The impact will not be the same for us as for some of the other teams. "We are about 290 people at the moment - some of the others are up around the 800 or 900 mark. "They do a massive amount of testing and things like that. To be honest, we kind of do the bare minimum."
