Ralf Schumacher will race at the French Grand Prix on 3 July despite missing out on testing for Toyota a week after his heavy crash in Indianapolis. Schumacher's accident in last Friday's practice for the US Grand Prix eventually led to the Michelin-equipped teams withdrawing from the race.
"Ralf has no lasting ill effects after his accident at Indianapolis," said chief test engineer Gerd Pfeiffer.
"The sensible thing to do was maximise Ralf's recovery time before France."
Schumacher's accident in America, in which the German hit the wall, was caused by sudden tyre failure.
