Jenson Button was fastest in testing on his first day back since getting the all-clear from a London eye specialist. Button went to Moorfields eye hospital on Monday as a precaution after some carbon brake dust irritated his eye during Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.
The 24-year-old completed more than a full Grand Prix distance during the session at Le Castellet in France.
The BAR driver's fastest lap was one minute 33.954 seconds, ahead of Williams' test driver Antonio Pizzonia.
