Jenson Button said he was pleased to finish in eighth place at the Spanish Grand Prix after a mistake in qualifying left him 14th on the grid. "Considering where I started, I am pleased to have been able to salvage a point," said the Englishman.
"I didn't get a very good start and then I was a little disappointed with the first stint because it just wasn't possible to overtake.
"We had good straight-line speed, but overtaking is so difficult here."
Button, who had expected to be on the front row alongside Michael Schumacher, said he thought he could make amends at the next race in Monaco.

"I'm really looking forward to Monaco. I think we have a good package there and hopefully we can translate that into a good result," he said.
Team-mate Takuma Sato dropped to fifth at the end of the race after qualifying third.
"Obviously I'm a little disappointed, but both Jenson and I really struggled with consistency after each tyre change. It was a tough race," said the Japanese driver.
