Kennett qualified for the final with 12 points from the heats |
Coventry Bees captain Eddie Kennett was left frustrated after being disqualified from the decider at the British final in Wolverhampton. Former Bees skipper Scott Nicholls took the title after Kennett was excluded after colliding with Tai Woffinden. Kennett told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I started gating when it counted in the semis. "I should have been at least on that podium. I was at the back and took a chance but I failed." Another ex-Bee Chris Harris finished second, with all four riders in the final involved in a pile-up prior to the incident involving Kennett and Woffinden.
