Poole Pirates captain Davey Watt and Rafal Dobrucki returned from injury in the side's 54-39 win over Eastbourne Eagles on Wednesday. Watt, 33, had injured his ankle, while Gafurov, 28, dislocated his shoulder. Poole boss Neil Middleditch told the club website: "After all the injury problems we've had I was pleased with the way the team slotted together. Poole are still without Darcy Ward, who broke his wrist and shoulder in pre-season training earlier this month. Meanwhile Poole reserve Dennis Andersson, who scored 14 points in Sunday's 57-33 first-leg defeat at Eastbourne, won three of his five heats in the second leg at Wimbourne Road on Tuesday evening. The European Under-19 champion clocked up an 11-point total in his home debut. "I said after the Eastbourne meeting on Sunday that I was happy with my reserves and once again Dennis and Christian [Hefenbrock] gave us a tail that I'm hoping will wag like this all season," said Middleditch.
