Lemon has ridden for Newcastle for the last two seasons

Newcastle Diamonds secured their first silverware of the 2011 campaign with a 99-87 aggregate victory over Berwick Bandits in the Tyne-Tweed Trophy.

Diamonds carried a seven-point lead from the first-leg to win 49-44 at Brough Park, and ensure a second successive victory in the competition.

Diamonds rider Mark Lemon racked up 14 points to top score, with Josef Franc the best Berwick performer on 12.

Bandits opener Charlie Gjedde also made double figures with 10 points.
