Simon Andrews was pipped for a podium spot in the 2010 Macau GP |
British Superbike Championship star Simon Andrews will make his North West 200 debut in May. The 26-year-old from Evesham in England will also compete in the Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix for the first time this year. Andrews was set to race in last year's NW200 but he withdrew after suffering foot and heel injuries in a crash in a World Superbike round at Valencia. He will ride an ex-Jentin BMW Superstock for the Ice Valley team. Andrews has already had a taste of road racing with two appearances in the Macau Grand Prix, finishing as fastest newcomer in 2009.
