John Guinness celebrates after winning the first Superbike race at the 2010 North West 200 |
John McGuinness and Keith Amor will ride for Honda at next year's North West 200, which has provisionally been pencilled in for Saturday 21 May. English rider McGuinness and Scot Amor will also compete on Honda machinery at the Isle of Man TT Races in June. The duo also represented the Japanese factory at last year's TT. The official Honda team has not taken part in the Ulster Grand Prix in recent years but have not ruled out a return to the Dundrod event in 2011. Former Honda racer Steve Plater is expected to retire from road racing. The Lincolnshire rider missed much of the 2010 season as a result of injuries sustained at the North West.
