Leicester legend Ray Wilson has joined the management team of the re-launched Lions as a club ambassador. Wilson rode for the club for nine seasons from 1968 and was a World Cup winner with Great Britain and England during the early 1970s. Promoter David Hemsley said: "I have consulted with him at various stages regarding the creation of the new track and have valued his opinion. "He has great knowledge and will be invaluable to me and the management." Hemsley added: "Since we embarked upon the campaign to bring speedway back to Leicester, Ray has always shown an interest and been very supportive throughout."
