Plymouth Devils have confirmed their intention to join the Premier League next season. The Devils currently race in the National League, which is the third tier of British speedway. Plymouth chairman Mike Bowden said: "We've proved we can run a speedway club successfully and we have the support of some really good fans. "It's cost us a considerable amount of money, running into thousands, to apply for the Premier League." The Devils have upgraded their facilities and their future is set to be decided at this week's BSPA AGM. "As I've said before, the money is there for us to do that and I believe it's time for us to move on," added Bowden. "It's been a successful five years, in that we've won some national trophies."
