Buxton have completed a clean sweep of team honours by defeating Newport to lift the National League title.

The first leg in South Wales - which was scheduled for Friday - had to be cancelled because of heavy rain.

And the Hitmen, already Cup and Trophy winners, got the better of the Hornets 56-35 in the one-legged Grand Final on the last day of the season.

Australian youngster Robert Branford scored an impressive 14 (paid 15) for Buxton, with Craig Cook adding 12.

Newport guest Steve Worrall was their top man with 11.
